Signature legalization by mail: how it works

A legalized signature proves that YOU signed. Our Swiss partner notaries handle it entirely by correspondence: you mail the signed original, and the notary verifies your identity and takes the acknowledgment of your signature by phone — WhatsApp possible.

Step 1 — the original

Print and sign the document to be legalized. Several signatories? Each person signs the document that concerns them.

Step 2 — the signed ID copy

Print a copy of each person’s ID card or passport, SIGN it (each their own) and write the place of residence in CAPITAL LETTERS. No e-mail needed — only the signed paper copy counts.

Step 3 — the note and the envelope

Add a note with last name / first name, your order reference (invoice no.) and a phone number per person (mention if WhatsApp works). Mail everything to ABC Office, Rue de Morges 22, 1023 Crissier.

Step 4 — the notary’s call

The notary calls each signatory, verifies identity against the signed ID copy and takes the acknowledgment of the signature — then affixes the legalization clause and seal. Scan by e-mail, return by registered mail or DHL.
